- OpenAI's ChatGPT went down around 11AM ET on Thursday, blocking conversations, logins, file uploads, voice mode, image generation, and other features for some users.
- Anthropic's Claude chatbot and its API experienced a partial outage at roughly the same time, caused by an infrastructure issue that the company resolved by 12:15PM ET.
- Grok, the chatbot made by xAI, began failing around 9:30AM ET across its app and web versions, with users seeing messages that the model was overloaded.
- OpenAI said it applied a fix and is monitoring recovery, but its services remained running at reduced performance as of the report.
